The Gardener's Arms near Vines Park was the venue with a difference for twenty members and our wives on the 30th August. After a lovely buffet, Simon Berry the owner had made sure we enjoyed our evening by inviting two gentlemen from the Sadler's Brewery in Stourbridge to educate us about its 'Peaky Blinder' range of Black IPA craft-brewed beers, using five different malts and five different hop varieties. The Irish Whiskey, dark rum and fancy gin afterwards certainly brought a smile to our chops and spring in our step! Downright decadent!
The Pub happens to be the birthplace of the award-winning Droitwich sausage which we also sampled.
A veritable haven for all self-indulgent 'sausageolics'!
This most memorable of evenings was finally embellished by a performance of table-magic by a local, and prestigious, member of the 'Inner Magic Circle'. Magic indeed! We must go again sometime.
